Artist Statement
“Through the ONBLUR series, my approach explores the visual deconstruction of the landscape through the prism of minimalism and figurative withdrawal. By leveraging the medium against the grain through long exposures and organic intentional camera movement, the image breaks free from its descriptive function.
The work unfolds between geometric rigor and the dissolution of matter. The singularity of this project lies in the emergence of a definitive structure dictated solely by the shot: the continuous flow of elements organizes itself into a timeless visual geography at the exact moment of exposure, asserting the rigor and absolute balance of the composition.
This structural quest is coupled with a profound chromatic research. Color is treated here as an autonomous, vibrating matter: from the smooth and transient color fields of the triptyches to the opaline and mineral nuances of the foreshores, the palette rejects realism to retain only the emotional temperature of light.
While some pieces rely on strong architectural perspectives, others push light experimentation to a chromatic tipping point, where the image becomes a pure vibration. Developed in parallel with commercial commissions, this research breaks free from daily constraints to formulate a refined visual statement, aiming to restore the sensitive energy and timelessness of light. This research questions our relationship with compressed time and the materiality of the invisible.”
